Hello

Currently finalizing spec for RR Sport HSE Dynamic which i see has a reversing camera as standard; However, is the 360 surround camera a worthwhile option? My offroading will be somewhat minimal and I have heard mixed reviews about the useability of the 360 camera.
Does anyone on here have the 360 camera is it worthwhile/ helpful i.e. do you actually use it often?

Also, could the surround camera be retrofitted?

Any guidance is appreciated.

Hi,

Had them on the 16MY AB I just chopped back - didn’t spec them on the new 19MY.

T-junction view hard to understand what you’re looking at.

Kerb view OK for parking but if manoeuvring in tight spaces the surround view & kerb view are switched to rear view every time you select reverse gear.

Most frustrating so “not this time”

Don’t think you can retrofit due to cost of replacement items, wiring loom & software config (but I might be wrong)

I have an MY10 with 360 camera, not used it once in the 18 months I've owned it.

Welcome to the forum I have the surround camera system fitted - I find it useful when driving through McDonalds & other tight cornering areas - I use it every time - there is nothing worse than the sound of a brand new alloy scrapping against a kerb  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Have it on one, not on the other. Don’t use it. May be useful if I towed with the advanced tow assist feature, but I don’t. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

Never use it. Find the pictures are a bit confusing although I suppose using them all the time would help. Had two cameras replaced under warranty. Only discovered it as I hit the camera button by accident one day. Would not spec them again

had it on a volvo XC90... and i have to say i thought on that vehicle it was fantastic... especially when entering or exiting very tight twisty multistory car parks
