Sport Dynamic?

Morning everyone,

what does the dynamic spec on a 2014 car have that's not on a HSE model?

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

A Dynamic setting on the terrain response selector that remaps steering weight, throttle, gear changes and hardens up the suspension so that the car corners like it’s on rails, then there is a low ratio /transfer gear box, rear ediff and IIRC you get rock crawl mode added to the Terrain Response as well. The Dynamic Response setting makes a noticeable difference to the handling but you won’t notice the other toys unless you take it off-road and they are very good/useful 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I ONLY have the HSE, but with £10,000 of extras which I enjoy and use, rather than paying the premium for the Dynamic, which I doubt I would use. Had a 90 ,which I did use off-road, A TDI Disco, also off-road, a FFRR, V8, never off-road. My 16 306 v6 is the first that handles and goes like a sports car, would not take it off-road with the deplorable side steps anyway. So each to our own 29 Salcombe, enjoy whatever you land up with, as an aside, mine has been trouble free.

The HSE doesn't get the on road dynamic ability of the Dynamic, irrespective of whether one plans to use either off road. Anyone wanting to drive their RRS "enthusiastically", be that on tarmac or off tarmac, would be better served by the Dynamic. For those who just want a big, comfortable, luxury estate car with the benefit of four wheel drive in the winter, the HSE is perfect. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thank you everyone. all your comments will help with my final decision. I will be travelling from Cornwall to North Wales every two weeks and as long as I can get the dog and the drone in the car I will be happy. I will keep you updated with my choice. Happy driving. Thumbs Up

In Australia Dynamic is all about Paint and styling. If you get the SVD8 HSE you get all the important mechanical Dynamic bits. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.
