Saw loads today as my LR Stealer also has a Bentley franchise with L-O-A-D-S of Continental GTs parked-up outside. Funny, when you see so many, they lose their appeal a little bit. However, in a queue of traffic, they do look special and have great rear lights (or is that a bit sad?). Embarassed

You don't get that when you drive past an Aston Martin dealer ship! Thumbs Up

United States 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Bonatti Grey

I think it looks great, and the S5 and potential RS5 could be excellent cars. Why? Well because this appears to be the first Audi designed with the new chassis parameters; i.e. engine behind the front wheels and set well back. Handling is bound to be much better than the current range.

barstewards!! just got very excited.. basically if i could get a quattro version of my car, think it would be the perfect car!! 4.2 TDI Quattro A5.. now that i would put my money on.. and if the M3 doesn't bloody well hurry up.. then it may take its place.. but from that list of information.. looks like 2.7/3.0 tdi engines are going to be the lineup on the TDI front.. i wouldn't put any serious money in the Audi badge to be honest.. looking at residuals right now for Audi's.. they even though being on par of merc/bmw's etc in quality and functions etc, (if not better) look at how they perform on the used market:

Ie. Q7 3.0 TDI S line with the tech pack and other bits, ask me in sept and market good price would have been £45k - £48k dependant on ultimate spec.. right now as of today, i wouldn't pay anything over £40k (56) for one (considering it a good deal) simply because the residuals have crashed a tad. Look at the A4 cab, another desirable motor.. very good on residuals but now everyone on used market only want the 2.5 TDI's out of the bunch, the 1.8T just wheel spins everywhere.. and the 2.4 isn't as good, and the 3.0 petrol just doesn't make sense, i.e. used market with buyers on a shorter budget, they don't want the fuel consumption, and thats what dictates the market for future price slides.. TT's are right on the money right now and have a niche no other manufacturer can touch.. like Bmw with its Mini market.

A5 is going to be up against the big boy exec sellers.. 3 series coupes/ CLK's.. going to have to be an awesome piece of kit to unsettle the balance, now that the sport 3'er is coming, and the cab is around the corner.

My 335d coupe.. its awesome car, spec/price/desirability factor/performance matched with decent consumption, good top end power, savage acceleration.. but anything but a dry road, and it slithers and snakes all the way from 0-40mph.. and the traction throws you forward and ruins the fun a tad. a Quattro version of this car with the power and grip would be perfect all rounder.. RS4 mixed with 335d.. = A5 4.2 Quattro TDI S line S Tronic PERFECT in my opinion..

Best get onto Audi and see if they'll knock you one up, Kam! Wink

I know what you mean about getting away quickly on wet surfaces... there's such a ton of torque from such low revs that it does sometimes have trouble getting the power down smoothly without the DSC light constantly flickering. Evil or Very Mad

Had a quick flick through this in Tesco the other day (It was next to the KK stand!)

I don't remember seeing it saying it was turbo but might be wrong!

Definitely said V8 450bhp so I assumed they had squeezed a bit extra out of the RS4 lump?

Looked very nice and comes with the DSG auto so is VERY desirable to me Bow down Thumbs Up Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

For such a high profile mag as Car, they'd surely make some mention of it in the article if it was a preprod model. I can't believe they would let it ride if it was a fake, pure and simple no?

not read the article yet, however they will probably just speculate about the RS5 spec and how good it may be - then say they will get their hands on one next year and cant wait etc etc .......

So the actual "road test" isn't actually between an M3 and an RS5 then? Or is it not actually a road test... I get the feeling I've missed the point here somewhere Embarassed Laughing
