United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Zambezi Silver

So I have a had a look under the car today and saw what I think could be the cause of the leak. It looks like it can be replaced and has a square hole in it. It was very wet with oil. I have dried it off and no signs of any more oil coming out. Will this only leak oil when warm. Photos attached, hopefully right way round.

Did you top it up with oil.? If I was you I’d top it up,it goes in the plug where it was leaking,as you top it up,as soon as it starts to run out that means it full.put bung back in give it a really good clean & run it for a few weeks & check it again. Andy.

I’m trying to work out from the pic wether that bung is the bottom one or the one half way up,,you fill it with the one half way up. Andy.

It’s definitely the bottom one. It’s the only one I can get to without lifting the car

Would this only leak when the engine is warm or all the time?

that is definitely the drain plug, the only thing you can do is to tighten it now until you can it to a workshop/change the oil yourself.

it will mostly leak when the oil in the diff is warm, or if there are big changes in ambient temperatures. --
