Burnt Valves Replacement

Hi,
Does anyone know a reputable garage/mechanic who can replace burnt valves?
My 2010 RRS S/C has 2 misfiring cylinders. My indy specialist doesn't have the tools to remove the head and suggests I take to the Steamers!

If you are taking the heads off it’s probably just as easy to have them fully refurbed. It’s been a LONG time since I did a V8 head gasket (3.9 classic Range Rover!) but removal isn’t an horrific job and most garages should be able to take them off. If your Indy can’t then he either isn’t competent or doesn’t want the job.

Up here in the grim north I’ve always used a company called lockstitch in Rochdale. They always did a good job and would pressure test and skim if necessary, before giving it back looking like new.

Probably worth giving them a call to get a cost to give you a benchmark. As you are in London, you will obviously have to add 200000% to that, in order to pay for someone’s 3 million quid bedsit Laughing

You could probably pallet them up here if the price difference dictates it necessary, just need someone to take them off! (and put them back) Range Rover Sport HSE DYnamic SDV6 Velocity blue 2020 MY

Ready done and refurbished heads are £850 each on eBay but I reckon the above firm would be much less doing your own (rather than on an exchange basis) Range Rover Sport HSE DYnamic SDV6 Velocity blue 2020 MY

2million for a bedsit now...Brexit's fault!
I agree, I think my Indy doesn't want the job. Will ring around and get quotes.
Thanks

5.0 is becoming pretty common for faulty injectors...
And/or worn chains and guides...

Both if which would cause a mis fire
