If you are taking the heads off it’s probably just as easy to have them fully refurbed. It’s been a LONG time since I did a V8 head gasket (3.9 classic Range Rover!) but removal isn’t an horrific job and most garages should be able to take them off. If your Indy can’t then he either isn’t competent or doesn’t want the job.

Ready done and refurbished heads are £850 each on eBay but I reckon the above firm would be much less doing your own (rather than on an exchange basis) Range Rover Sport HSE DYnamic SDV6 Velocity blue 2020 MY
