I'm guessing the MY20 will be even quieter! got a feeling the electric range rover will be more noiser! I test drove a MY17 and ordered a MY18 and was disappointed that the MY18 was quieter, then the MY19 which i picked up yesterday i would go as far to say its 50% quieter with no roar compared to the MY18. All to do with these bloody Petrol Particle Filters! 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR arrived but now rejected! 2019 Range Rover Sport SVR in Madagascar orange arrived but never heard it coming but now rejected! 2019 Range Rover Sport SVR in Madagascar orange incoming |

Is it quieter = Yes Does it still sound good = Yes Does it put a smile on your face = Yes What I will say about the sound is it doesn’t matter and you don’t need to worry about it. If it really isn’t loud enough for you then im sure exhaust options are available or will be soon. |

I had the factory tour yesterday. Very much worth it and got to see the car made from scratch, to almost to about 3/4 finished (before the SVO stage). GJW 1 thanks for the recommendation.

I find the only real way to get some crackles and pops is to go into Dynamic, with S mode and either use the paddles or shift the selector up and down manually to control the gear. Then in 2nd or 3rd when taking my foot of the accelerator I'll get the pops. Also the exhaust/engine has to be warmed up first. Also with these ZF tiptronics it helps to floor it a bit and get the RPM's high and it will be much more responsive after that. Otherwise they try to optimize fuel economy and are tame. My past Audi's were exactly the same with ZF's. I might be in the minority but I love it just the way it is. It's loud when driving it aggressively and that's what I care about, not driving slowly on city streets. I actually don't crave the attention. 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR – Bosphorus Grey |
