Thought best to leave reliability, cranks and customer care out of it for now

Drop off in sales in China is clearly a major issue for JLR. Volume down 50% in fourth quarter 2018 to end November.

Why do you think i’m Now driving a Countryman PHEV and not the P400E? When a P400E was specked up to the same spec as the SDv6 HSE D that I had it was over £80000 and while reliability and build quality of my HSE was great it wasn’t worth shelling out £80k for a replacement with a smaller petrol engine and what is new and really untested tech for LR. If the price had come in nearer the £70000 I paid for the HSED in March 2015 I might have considered the P400E but JLRs new prices now make their cars unaffordable to even moderately well off people. Even the I Pace was expensive for what you get and the earliest cars were found not to be able to achieve even 50% of the claimed electric range and had to be recalled for a software upgrade to enhance that...... my name is on a dealers list as interested in a New Defender but if that isn’t available in BEV or PHEV for less than £45000 i’m Not going to be interested - it is a farm utility after all, who is going to pay luxury car prices for a farmers truck? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The bean counters don't seem to see that though. Same with their parts.

After a history of owning at least 20 JLR (15 Range Rovers) car the reliability, attitude of Dealers and over pricing means I bought a PHEV for the cost of a years depreciation of a RRS - and the PHEV is reliable! |

Second hand parts still carry a premium to. I was looking at the rear map lights for my MY12 and realised they were the same as my old Mondeo. £20 for a RRS item or £6 for an identical Ford Mondeo part. Even the indicator side repeaters are out of the BMW parts bin are cheaper from BM. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

JLR are an Indian company. Why would they not, in a global highly competitive market, choose the advantage of Slovakia ? This would have happened in or out of the EU. Brexiteers need to get a reality check. |

A 2wd entry level DS or Evoque, starting at (as good as) £30k. A far cry from ye olde Freelander, at £13k...
