Heated steering wheel silly question!!

I was wondering if on my 2012 plate RRS it had the heating element already in the original steering wheel? but not the button as it wasn’t added as an extra? So my question is, is it just a case of adding the switch and maybe adding the software for it to work via an IID tool? Picture below of the part I’m talking about changing
If its a case of adding a completely new steering wheel how easy are they to change? While I’m at it I wouldn’t mind having it retrimmed it to make a bit thicker any suggestions who could do this for me?

 Cheers Laurence.

If it doesn’t have the switch it won’t have the element. Look at powerful U.K. or eBay for the thicker wheel with heating element and sell your own.

They give you £250 back if you send them your old wheel. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

As far as I know, you just swop everything on yours on to this one except you would need the switch and perhaps an extra bit of wiring (not sure if the connector for the switch is present in the loom). 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Don't think they did them in full leather, went for piano black as matched gear knob, door trims etc. in the car, they do two version of that particular wheel, tried the "chunky" one first and found it just to fat and my hands are not exactly small, so went for the smaller version.

I’m sure earlier ones were full leather. Mine was anyway
