I read somewhere that Thatcham were reviewing it under some new digital protection umbrella, but in any case it has benefits beyond an insurance discount.

Part of the reason I asked is one fitters website claimed he was no longer fitting them to JLR vehicles. I queried him as to why and it was to do with the soldering onto a couple of points in the vehicle. He suggested it was much more fiddly to do a JLR vehicle than others. Hence I was curious as to the experience people had if fitted to the L494.

^^^ Clever kit It also has a garage/valet mode where the car can only be driven for a maximum of 15 miles at a max speed of 30mph for leaving at a garage for service, MOT etc. Steve. |

Probably connection to the Canbus system. Shouldn’t be too difficult as there’s loads of places that it could be wired into.
