Driving to the Alpes in a couple of weeks so need to get some snow chains , friends have told me they have never used them in over ten years of going so thinking the budget ones will suffice . I'm just a bit worried that they say they will not fit all cars due to clearance issues which could lead to damage ! So just wondering if anyone has fitted budget chains to there RRS , my tyre size is 275/45 R21 . All the ones stating to be for a L494 seem to be the very expensive quick fit style with no clearance issues as there is nothing on the inside of the wheel MY24 Dynamic SE,MY21 HSE Silver, MY20 SQ7, MY 18 RRS HSE Dynamic , MY 16 RRS Autobiography now gone & MY 2005 Discovery 3 HSE that I will be buried in !

They're not for sale anymore so I have ordered a new set , should be able to reclaim vat so not a lot dearer anyway.
Next question is seeing as there is no clearance issues with this style of chain should I fit to the front or still fit to the rear as per handbook ? MY24 Dynamic SE,MY21 HSE Silver, MY20 SQ7, MY 18 RRS HSE Dynamic , MY 16 RRS Autobiography now gone & MY 2005 Discovery 3 HSE that I will be buried in !
