HI , yes Ive been to Ilicar and quoted 6k for a gearbox change, when the issue turned out to be the torque converter. They also wanted 1.5k for suspension compressor replacement, so Id rather put the money in someone else. RRS 2006 2.7TD BLACK (MY FIRST RR!!!!)

I agree, I actually found the torque issue on one of the threads here before taking it to Ilicar, mentioned the symptom , went out in the car to replicate the rumble and asked them to confirm. They came back with a quote for whole gear box, so I took it to a local gearbox specialist in Rojales without being mentioning specifically the torque converter and they told me it was the torque. Lost faith in Ilicar after that, hence this thread. RRS 2006 2.7TD BLACK (MY FIRST RR!!!!)
