I have noticed that the puddle lights on my 2013 Black Edition Seem to have some sort of logic!

Before fitting the mirrors with puddle lights the door lights came on any time the door was opened. Now with the mirror lights fitted (and programmed) when unlocking the car the mirrors unfold and the lights in the mirrors come on but the door ones don't light up when the from doors are opened. Any other time the front doors are opened the door lights come on.

I can see where this logic comes from but is that how other peoples cars work?

Also I notice that with then mirror lights programmed but only one side fitted the normal door still works as it used to but once the new mirror was fitted it changed to the above. 2016 Black SDV8 Autobiography

They are welcome lights. To help you find the car I think! So maybe no need to put every other light on when unlock is pressed!

What lights aren't coming on? Lights in bottom of door? or roof?

Do they come on as soon as door opened?

If unlocking all interior lights (except the two front bottom door ones) work as expected (come on when door is opened) and the mirrors light up. Then when you open the doors next time all lights work as expected except the mirrors don't come on. 2016 Black SDV8 Autobiography

That's how mine work, puddle lights in mirrors only work when unlocking the car. All other times just interior and door ones.

No, only after the mirror ones go out, just checked and the rear one's do work so its only the fronts that don't.

About a sixty second delay fof the mirror light to go out first unless ignition turned on.

Mine are the same and factory fit. I assume mirror come on when you unlock the car and therefor don’t need the door ones as you can see the ground as you approach. Then when you exit the vehicle the mirror ones are of no use so the door lights come on instead, illuminating the ground as you open the door. As there are no mirror lights on the rear the door lights always come on. It had we confused when I first got the car. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)
