[SOLD] Volkswagen Golf Match 1.9 TDI Automatic
As my new car is being PDI'd and will be ready for collection towards the end of this week, I am selling my "stopgap".
VW Golf Match 1.9 TDI
- Price £3,500 £3,300 £3,200
- Colour is black
- 57 plate car, registered in January 2008
- Covered only 71,600 miles
- MoT until September 2019
- I am the 3rd owner
- Automatic DSG gearbox with manual shifters and Sports mode
- 1.9 litre Diesel engine
- 5 seats, 5 doors
- Cruise control
- Front and rear electric windows
- Climate control/aircon works perfectly for both heating and cooling
- All tyres road legal and with decent amount of tread well beyond legal requirements
- Plenty of 'stuff' remaining on the brake pads
- Battery is in excellent condition (I had been using my CTEK but it doesn't need it even in winter)
- Space saver/temporary use spare wheel
- Aftermarket audio system with AUX and USB inputs along with DAB radio etc.
- The car is in North West London
I got 3 month warranty when I bought this car from a local dealer but never needed to use it. Has been a great run-around. We have done 1000+ miles in the 4 months we've had it and the only things it needed in that time were a new left rear brake light bulb and a new rear wiper blade.
It is mechanically sound and great for both local runs and motorways. Fuel economy is surprisingly very good, going by the fact that I have only filled up about 2.5 tanks in over 1000 miles. Very low miles and number of previous owners for an 11 year old car.
There are some scratches on the paintwork which is to be expected with age.
Please ask if I have missed anything.

Is this car the "VW Golf banger until my delayed XC90 arrives" in your signature?

It is indeed. I don’t see banger as an absolute term. It’s all relative. Having said that, it’s got to be far more reliable than much newer JLR products out there.Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
