England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

I can’t see that there is a problem?

There is a separate section for the L494, which is where L494 topics tend to be posted.

Why do you think the forum should be split?

Jim

There used to be another forum RRS2.com but no one used it so Martin pulled the plug on it. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I agree - as the L494 becomes more common they tending to swamp the forum - should be split - would not be so important if the cars had a lot in common but being different vehicles there is no point staying under one banner.

I think if a new forum is created for the newer vehicles it will make the forums more relevant for both groups.

New Zealand 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Santorini Black

Perhaps If people actualy specified a Vehicle/Model etc. when posting a question rather than just "My sport has a misfire" it would help a great deal, rather than relying on a Avatar that may not be the relevant vehicle any more. There wouldn't be a real issue.

Cheers
Col

The answer is simple,
just put your current RRS in signature,

Not the last 5 or more, then we could all see at a glimpse what your driving
and what model the issues are relating to.. ===========================================

Doesn't matter when the OP joined - his opinion is valued just as much as a long timers which also assume all is good in the "community" and we dont know that until the subject has been discussed.

Clearly not everyone agrees with the OP, some do so lets see what the actual concensus is rather than shooting downh a suggestion just because they have just joined. 07MY RRS TDV6

And for me as a lot of people who have newer cars have more than likely had older models and have the knowledge is well worth keeping it all together Thumbs Up

If you don’t want to see the old section then tap on the black title line in the homepage and the various boards in that section will be hidden. So if you only want to see the L494 section, tap on the black bar in the Homepage and close all the boards except Range Rover Sport, then go down to the Range Rover Sport 2 /L494 section and tap again on that and only the L494 section will open and all the others will close, but then you loose seeing all the interesting things happening everywhere else on the forum and you have only a forum for RRS2! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

^^^ Exactly the response I had in mind. This is also one of the main reasons (IMO) why Martin's RRS2 specific forum wasn't very successful.

I feel OP has as much right to make his suggestions as anyone else here, regardless of length of membership. Perhaps the "joined 3 days ago" comment was intended to point out that OP hasn't given it enough time to see how this forum works. Which, by the way, is evident from the fact that he posted this thread in General rather than Site News & Feedback. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
