2006 Sport - maintenance problems??!

Today's The Mail listed used cars and and gave the top 10 recognised for their unreliability and expensive repairs. I have a 2006 Sport which didn't receive a favourable review - I would be interested to know, from those that know, if this model and year is considered subject to many faults - although its years old, it has only done just under 100,000 miles. Andrew Kennedy

you have been on here from 2010
I think you can answer that !

A 2007 is worse with its oil pump issues (yours could be impacted, so change the oil pump when cambelt changed)

crank shafts can also break

2006 Sport - problems?!?

Thanks for yours Andy. I ask the question as I have only travelled 80.000 + miles and I am having to have the gear box changed. Also had problems with the Turbo - and I'm wondering what else I can expect...…. Andrew Kennedy

I think that’s unlucky with a geabox change.

Hopefully you will be ok.

Just ensure oil pump is changed with cambelt
