2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

The pre-launch In 2011 featured the coloured wire full scale models so they must have recycled those........
I read somewhere that no PHEV until 2020 at the earliest. I see that the press are all suggesting prices will start from £40k so no tax busting versions, no family priced version.......... when will JLR realise that they are pricing their products out of the reach of many of their intended market - maybe they believe everyone will buy on a PCP. One thing I do know about the Mk2 Evoque is that JLR are ditching the Ford 2.0ltr Ecoboost turbo petrol in favour of an Ingenium 2.0ltr 4 cylinder petrol that is more powerful and lower emissions.
An aside - I see in this week’s Autocar mag that from next year all VW/Audi petrol engines will come with particulate filters........ in addition to their cats. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Petrol particulate filter Shocked more to go wrong then,,& as you say Tim I also think LR are heading the same way as merc & bmw wanting customers on pcp rather than buying them.

Yes Tim you are right and most car manufacturers are doing this now - it's becoming a PCP world where 90%+ of cars are sold in this way so list price kind of becomes irrelevant for the buyer but the manufacturer gets their full money from the finance house - its a win win situation for the manufacturer as their cars sell in this way.

BMW, Mercedes and Audi have been doing this for some time now...I have this morning been offered a brand new C Class AMG Line for £220 a month over 24 months and a BMW 320d M Sport for £195 pcm over 24 months - insane deals for £42-45k cars!

Does not bother them as they get their dosh!

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

When I signed my order for the Countryman last November there were no finance deals on offer for my PHEV version. When I went to collect it I was a offered Black Horse Finance PCP on 2.9% APR or a BMW Finance PCP or HP on 1.5%........... which was also a Black Horse financed deal! So JLR are milking their customers on the finance (also from Black Horse!) as they have done for years ( and wonder why people aren’t buying their cars!)
I wasn’t going to have any finance on the car as the balance remaining on the RRS I traded in was so good that I could have paid cash but taking the BMW/MINi Finance opened the doors to a discount and free 5 year service deal worth some £500 - which isn’t great for my car as it was delivered in June 2018 and the next service showing is at 37,000 miles or May 2020! I’m sure if I used the Combustion engine a lot more than I do then the service interval would get a lot closer. At the present rate it will be due a service at the same time as its first MOT! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yes double whammy for JLR - high car prices and 6.9% APR too!

I got a deal with another lender this time round at around 5.2% on my RRS.

Rockers APR is 4.9% but I got a higher discount at my dealer so worked out cheaper for me than Rocker.

I guess that's an example of "beauty being in the eye of the beholder" then... Whistle 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Just whizzed through the build it thingy. Quickly hit £50k. £50k for a glorified hatchback? And that was for the boggo version with extras added. Wow. The FE is a bit more with less needed to be added but still £50k+

Noticed also that the towing limit (P300AWD) is 1800kg but the notes for the tow bar say 2500kg. Seems a big difference to me.

Oh, and nice to see that LR still sell the £15 fire extinguisher with a £100 mark up. Standards to maintain! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Do you think that they are trying to market directly to Vegans by offering a choice of fabric seat finishes? Sheep are animals so wool finishes would be off the menu 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
