So in August 2018 I finally got my car back after both turbos had failed but bill was taken care off by warranty direct

Now my main concerns here are that I just got an invoice from the garage, nothing else. No info on the turbos or what was actually fitted. The bill was £3040 for the work 3648 including VAT.

Invoice only states;
LHS Turbo Replaced
RHS Turbo replaced
Intercooler, feed pipes clean
Full Service

My real question is what turbos were installed and if they are actually any good, surely they wont have purchased some used turbos on ebay and fitted them right? They have told me german brand "Hoffmans" have been fitted but I cannot find any info of these anywhere.

Im still chasing them for info, I'm at the point where I might just get a specialist garage to take the body off just to see whats been fitted and if they are any good

Ask for written warranty on parts fitted

It’s a 2010 RRS with 73k on clock.

I’ve just continued on the warranty which is for another 12 months.

I’ll call the garage now and ask for that

Another question, when I hit around 40-50mph with the window down I can hear a whistling noise, I’m guessing this is when the turbos boost... is this normal?

They should cut in around 1800 revs so from about there you should here them a bit
