Some good pics there, have you any idea what they used to clean the engine bay?.Also it’s given me a idea for my blower as it gets annoying having to carry it round the car especially as mine is the double one,,looks like I need to make a frame with wheels on it.

I think that they used C5 Citrus Cleaner on the engine bay. I have the smaller Master Blaster version and it works great on all the shuts, grill and the dreaded wing mirrors that seam to hold so much water and drip all day long down your doors.... 2010 RR 5.0 Autobiography

I agree with the mirrors,I’ve blown mine out for ages thinking it’s all out till you drive off & stop & the dorms covered in water marks .also the same with the rear of the bonnet but I’ve mastered that so I put the bonnet up when I’ve washed it & stick the nozzle of the blower in the holes near the rear of the bonnet & it’s surprising how much water comes out. This is the blower I have

They are great aren't they..... I use mine more on the dog than I do on my car, it dries him in minutes. 2010 RR 5.0 Autobiography

When Iv'e washed mine, I wrap some kitchen towel round the mirrors to catch any drips. Some people use microfiber cloths. Just hate drips down the doors |

Ive got the meguires MT320 with the 5" backing plate but ive also got the 3" backing plate & smaller pads that I fit for the smaller area's.So one polisher does it all,ok its not as good as the Rupes bit for what I need its good enough, the Rupes is more for the professional detailer using it every day.

I haven’t washed my GTechniq protected Countryman since June.............. the car also wasn’t used from mid July to 1st week of October and I was expecting to return to find it very dirty with dust and bird droppings as I live close to a rookery and my drive is under their flight path.........

The car looks great, I've been thinking about having mine done with Gtechnig but did not realise they had a place in Northampton not that far from me. How long did it take and did you have the inside done as well. |

Thanks Autobiography1969. Looks amazing but having seen the price I think I need to get the smaller 3” backing plate for my Meguiars instead! Will look for one of them and pads I think.

Northampton is their main head quarters and they do all of the training and shipping of their products from there and as you would expect, they give you great customer care. I do under 10k a year and most of the time I'm the only one in the car so didn't have the Inside done. If the kids were still kids I would have defiantly had it Done. 2010 RR 5.0 Autobiography 2020 F-Pace SV 2018 RRS HSE Dynamic 3.0 2015 Disco XXV 2011 Disco 3.0 2008 RRS HST V8 |
