I wondered when the bubble would burst,,just like years ago telling everyone to buy diesel & now diesel is bad.Typical UK government.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I posted about this in the L494 section last week - so does that mean that a Diesel engine is now a good thing to have in your car? I’ve just put 26litres of petrol onto my car - first refill since July 13th. 75% of the battery charging has been done using power generated from my domestic solar array. I used a public charger for the first time yesterday ( they are free to use up here but you pay £20 pa for the RFID card to start the flow of energy).......... the car’s electronics didn’t like it one bit and the range to flat display showed zero for 6 of the 16 miles of the journey home from town 9car has aclaomed range of 26 miles in EV mode but in real life that is 20 miles) but the petrol engine didn’t cut in and the LED charge indicator showed 20% charge on arrival on my drive - looks like I might need a visit to the dealership to have that looked at. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Wales

Its the same as subsidising green energy and then pulling the plug when solar became popular. The government seem to be surprised when people change their behaviours (see also the NHS, benefits system, etc.,)

Being an MP seems to attract bullsh*tters, people who like the sound of their own voice and people who like talking in public. This rules out most Engineers and I think the country should be run by Engineers...
