Nah don't get me wrong.. im not dissapointed.. just have to empty all the Censored out of my garage this weekend instead of next weekend.. and have to find £54k for next friday instead of the following friday.. plus have to get insurance etc all sorted.

And what do i get for my birthday now? would have felt special on the actual day, so now im going to have to buy something else! maybe a full tank of fuel for the new motor!

Haha...I'll also offer just like S to store it somewhere. Nice garage for you...we've got one spare. Full of junk albeit but enough room in there still to store an M3 Mr. Green
But Kam...you'll have to take me for a drive...just so I can make my comparison to the game Thumbs Up Michael Potter

Hopefully it drives better than the one from that game... don't know if it was just me, but I could never get the thing to steer round bends properly! Confused

Hmm.. may have some bad news..

The salesman i actually ordered the car through a while back, has since become a friend of mine, and he left Bmw soon after to go and work for Bentley, he has since opened up a specialist body shop company. They handle corporate accounts for Bentley, Rolls Royce, Bmw, Porsche etc and are doing really well (they have just pinched a group of ex Bmw technicians, which is going to help them further no doubt). The guy and his brother who are both partners of the business bought two new M3's for themselves for a treat and took delivery two weeks ago. Since then both cars have been rejected and returned to Bmw. One is white the other black. Both had paint imperfections and the body of the white one was visibly out of line. I rang him today and had a long chat as we've been meaning to catch up, and he told me to inspect the car closely, and any problems post handover to bring it to him and he'll provide me with a full independant report which Bmw will have to take notice of.

After speaking with him, i've arranged to go and meet him next week with the M3, and also i rang Bmw and told them even though i don't want to pickup until next Friday, i want the car prep'd immediately and prepared for Monday as if its being handed over. I will go and have a look and if its not 100% then at least i won't build the whole case up and prepare full payment or anything for a dud car, so waiting to see the car monday and will take it from there.

If the car isn't as expected/anticipated after a long wait, i have told the sales man who has also become a good friend over the years, that i won't be upset/ Censored off overly, as its Bmw's fault not sales that imperfect products are coming through, but i will expect them to rectify the problems if applicable/do'able and we will take it from there. I will be upset however if i transfer over £54k to their account on thursday and be greeted by a car which shouldn't have passed pre delivery inspection! So lets wait and see, will have my camera handy on monday.. I have been assured it will be looked at closely by the sales and prep team and if its not perfect i will never see it in the state that its in now!

I know mate.. but its not often they get to see a nice car, so we said we'd leave it open for them to sit in and take pics etc

So we going to swap the 760li for the M3 then?
