£3k to supply and fit two new LR turbos is an amazing price when considers that the turbos are about £1400 each...or is that £3k plus VAT i.e £3600. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

FWIW, I charge £3650 Inc VAT for 2x brand new OEM turbos, oil feed pipe, and fresh oil/filter at the same time |

How many reviews were there? Is it just the one? Is the feedback reputable? Problem with the Inet is anyone can post a review, did this garage just give them selves a good review? If they were that good and that cheap, lots of people would be using them and word would spread quickly. Generally if it’s to good to be true, it generally is. I would be asking how they change the Turbos when every other garage takes the body off. They could for all the customer knows, cut the wings off and weld them back on, I know that’s an over the top remark but you just don’t how they do it when no one else can. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

They don't take the body off so they can charge you more labour? |

Aparently it’s more labour intensive than taking the body off ..... |

....in which case, begs the question as to why do they do it that way ? I did both my turbos on an SDV6 and paid pretty much Disco Mikey's price for body off, drain pipe etc, and had back belt changed as well at a JLR indy specialist. |

Body off sounds scary but the vehicle is designed to be taken apart. Disco_Mikey even put a run through with pictures on the Disco site. Not difficult for a competent mechanic and allows full and proper access to the turbos. Putting it back together is just a case of being careful and thorough.

They told me it’s a safer process as only the engine is being touched and won’t affect susepobrakes etc that’s why they do it this way. I will find out some more information from them |

A year or so back, a member of this forum used Best Turbos and was delighted with their service. To that effect, I bookmarked the company website in case I ever have the fault myself. Some searching may find the post.

The car is designed to come apart easy. Suspension is not affected, and the only issue with the brakes is bleeding them afterwards... |

Non-working intercooler? Probably full of oil from the turbo oil seals failing. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
