Prior to moving to (north) Portugal earlier this year I did my homework as to car matriculation. 'Matriculation' is basically registering a car in Portugal. To import a car to Portugal is a minefield and a nightmare. To import my 2005 RRS 2.7TDV6 (which cost me 13k) would have been 37,000 euros. Yes, that is 37 thousand euros - not that I or anyone in their right mind would pay that. But like I say I did my homework and bought a LHD in the UK well before my move. I have successfully gone through the whole process and I'd be happy to help/advise anyone doing (or thinking of doing) the same. Barrie.
