Looking for advice, I’ve tried various wash & wax soaps on my cars but no matter what I use or weather I always seem to get water marks on the black roof & bonnet. Weren’t noticeable on my yulong white RRS but I washed & polished my Firenze red one yesterday & they are a nightmare! Dull day when I washed the car, removed all tar with as target, dried off with towel, paint cool to touch before I started, used meguiers paint cleaner on bonnet, marks still there under white garage lights, same on roof, didn’t have time to try anything else so just polished it anyway, came up really nice in the daylight but watermarks are still there on bonnet & roof if you look really close. This reminded me of why I got rid of a 8 month old carbon black X5 in the past.
I use a water filter for rinsing the car but still doesn’t stop them although it helps! Car is only 10 months old, it was treated with guard x by the dealership as a freebie when I got it & to be fair before I polished it it still beads water after you just wash & rinse but I wanted to remove the tar & give it a polish before the winter.
So all you guys with black RRS what’s the best products & washing methods to stop these bloody marks!
Cheers
