Steering Wheel Controls - Cannot change settings

I've recently upgraded my head unit from the standard one in my 2007 Sport (non-Nav) to a double DIN Android unit. Overall very happy with the result and I have used a Dynamic sounds module to retain steering wheel controls which works great.

However, I can't seem to change the car settings (the ones you navigate through the speedo) - have I lost this functionality through replacing the head unit, or is there something else wrong?

Thanks,

Jordan

That's frustrating, but I'm assuming I'd be able to swap the old unit back in to change the settings and then swap back out?

Yes.

I assume you only need to plug the large connector into the old headunit to make the changes

I changed my head unit with a double din Pioneer head unit and IncarTech fitting kit and the steering wheel controls still worked.
Got a separate problem with the clock spring but thats another story! 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?
