Yes as Tim says the FFRR gets the TDV8 and very few RRS's are getting them. It's all down to the engine plant in Essex not having all the parts. June might still be a little optimistic though! Sorry. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

My RRS had a nice run today after 8 days sat on the drive without turning a wheel. Drove up to Perth and visited the LR Dealer there - used to be called Rossleigh but is now the dreaded STRATSTONES. Anyway the sales guy was very helpful gave me a load of info and when I asked about delivery of a TDv8 HSE he sucked in his lips and told me if I order now I MIGHT see one in April but more likely June! Then I said what about a white one............................. expecting him to run a mile I was surprised when he said to me no problem but would I like a TDV6 HSE 2007 in white as they have one coming in as a demo - turns out they can sell every white RRS and FFRR they can get out of LR from that dealership and they have a forecourt full of Java and Zambesi cars they cannot shift, would appear the Java and Silver bubble has burst and folks are looking for something a bit different. They have a very nice RRS HSE in Cairns with Ivory on an 06 plate on the forecourt - looks beautiful in the combo. Also asked if would be interested in a late plate S/C, apparrently owners are desperate to chop them in for TDv8's, either FFRR or RRS 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Just been advised today that my Java/Alpaca TDV8 that was due to be built next week and delivered 01/04 is now delayed to a mid May build - can anyone fill me in as to why this is happening - LR dealer advises me that I will now be getting an 08MY at no extra cost, but can't tell me what spec an 08MY has over the 07MY - any one help on this issue? |

If TB says there are no delays then your dealer is pulling a fast one! I bet he's sold your car twice and you're the sucker how suffers. Tell your dealer about this site and what TB has said. Tell your dealer you want to know why it's delayed. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

The only legit reason why your car would be delayed at the moment is if it had been built and failed/crashed somewhere along the production line. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
