Wind deflectors

Anyone any any thoughts on fitting wind deflectors on RRS?
I’ve recently purchased a 2007 sport and looking to put some nice tints on and maybe some wind deflectors. I did notice there was quite a bit of buffeting going on inside the cabin when both front windows down, just comparing to my past cars!

Does your A/C not work? I thought opening windows was just for paying for parking and the like Laughing 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

I bought a set of the deflectors, only fitted one to drivers window to try it out first and didn't think it made any real difference so took it back off. Personally didn't really like the look of it on the car anyway just looked an after thought and out of place, as I have RRS2 mirrors fitted also fouled by mirror when folded.

Cheers

I have them on mine, fitted them so I can leave the windows down an inch when parked for the dogs. Stops the rain getting in so for me, they are more like rain deflectors!!

They did take some adjusting though as the windows kept finding them an obstruction and would reopen. I’ve since got them all settled in now. Noise is a little more but with the performance exhaust fitted it’s not really that significant. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

I have them on mine. Like the look and effective on a hot day. Aircon is fine but fresh air is nice sometimes and it gives the cabin an airing. I seem to perceive slightly more wind noise with them fitted but since I stopped the sub woofer rattling this is easy fixed by turning music up LOUD.

Heike I think they work but do not fold completely because you can see them pushing on deflectors so don’t bother folding them Thumbs Up

I had them on mine... the biggest advantage to me (other than being able to have the windows open an inch or so in the rain) was being able to deflect either rain or windscreen wash from dripping straight into the electric window switches (integration testing obviously not LR's forté Very Happy ).

The mirrors did fold agsinst them, but I never had a problem with them and had them fitted for ~3 years.

The only downside I found (although it never bothered me, but did my better half sometimes) was increased wind noise on the motorways, but other than that.. thought they fitted and suited quite nicely.

Mine were also the Team Heko ones.. much flatter design than the likes of Climair.

Cheers..

Ian
