Power for headrest Screen module under seats ?

Fitting some rosen headrests which is fine ( 2012 RRS Autobio) , unsure where to take power from for the control module .

Im thinking of using a fuse tap on the rear cig lighter fuse and running a cable from the glove box under the sill trim and then to under the passenger seat .

Any easier way ?

Thanks
Luke

Certainly under the passenger seat on the early models, there is an ignition supply on the connector at the front of the seat.

or if you want a supply only when infotainment is powered up, the nav connector has a supply.

Kinda needs the seat taking out to do thought.
They are heavy and difficult to manoeuvre

No the Satnav unit is a integral part of the CD player in the center console, I think you will find the unit under the drivers seat is the TV tuner.

Should be a Grey 20pin connector on tv tuner, try pin No.1 red wire it is the power to tuner, controlled I think from fuse No.68 wouldn't know if it is ignition live or not though.

In the end the better option was a fuse tap from passenger fuse box, pulled up sill trim and ran cable under , then a little bit under the carpet and then under the passenger seat .

Does any one know what the large empty metal bracket is under the passener seat ? i assume its meant to house something..

On mine it's where the surround camera control module is fitted, but assume other options can also be fitted to it as it's quite large with various mounting holes in it.

Thanks Col ,

Finally got around to mounting the Rosen control module on there . I ended up using a couple of strips of gorilla Tape to stick it to the bracket under the seat ( saves removing the seat and screwing it into the bracket)

Looks all good in the end Wink
