Sat Nav Easy Route?

Hi,

There's an option to turn Easy Route on/off in the settings.
Does anyone know what this does?

I use this when towing my car trailer. Apparently less turns across traffic and less bottlenecks.
Was told this on the LR experience day SDV6 HSE 2012 Black
