Hello everyone,

I’m hoping this will be the easiet question posted today......so here goes.

I have a 2006 RRS and noticed when I’d got home today that the tailgate release button was hanging from the rectangular fitting it is usually so very securely fixed in to.

I’ve checked to see if any of the plastic clips were broken meaning it wouldn’t then hold in place but nothing seems to be broken or missing. I’ve popped it back into place and it clicks in as expected but then once the tailgate lid is closed it starts to come loose again to the point where I can easily pull it out.

I had through that maybe the heat had softened the fixtures, causing it to fall out, but then thought as it’s not directly parked in sunlight that may not have been the case.

Any ideas how to sort this out?
