I have 20 inch wheels running 20/45 tyres as came originally from factory and my spare wheel is 19 inch but has a 20/55 tyre, again factory specified (from memory the last time I saw it). That combination makes the height correct but you have to watch your speed!

As a get you home, it'll be ok. There's a difference between the two diameters of just under 10mm which would be less than 1mph at 50 mph. If you're unlucky, you might get the DSC triggering but I think you'd be ok. The 19 inch tyre is the bigger one, interestingly.

My original Factory supplied spare was actualy a 8.0J x 18" black rim with 255/55 x 18" tyre fitted, classed as "Durable Spare" car was fitted with standard 275/40 x 20 wheel/tyres.

If it cuts in whilst normal driving, then you can by pressing the DSC off button until you get home. When you restart the vehicle the DSC will reengage. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
