Of course, there may be some UK specific options or a RHD surcharge on a German HSE. Anyone know?

Anyone recommend a dealer? Lead times?

i saved 2.5k as well as got a lot faster delivery by ordering from alliance car importers. was very impressed with their service 2.7 TDV6 HSE 2007 finnally arrived

There is a 2nd hand Bonetti Grey 4.4 on the landrover site that is on at approx. £30,500. My dealer claims that it is so low becuase it's an import.

I must say that I've had enough of that sh@t. Dealers lowering values to suit their network. How can 2 exactly the same apples be priced different second hand? They're not.

It's not our fault that the pound is strong v the Euro.

Any other reasons not to take advantage of this?

And it's a 4.4 which was never the most popular spec here.... thirsty engine without the tradeoff of the SCs performance.

you save at the start on import, so dont expect to gain at the end - this is the basic logic I think. Basically, those of us you purchased through the UK network, supporting UK dealers etc shouldn't have to suffer depreciation against cars purchased from overseas - the advantage of importing is to reduce the total outlay - the depreciation should be the same

just my personal opinion

HI kaine. I get what your saying. I believe thought that an apple is apple. If it's exactly the same and it's available locally, they are worth the same. If "grey" imports are available cheaper, I would think it would devalue the UK supplied ones. I'm just not buying into the "hocus pocus" from the dealers.

I understand you get what you pay for though!

I'm going to email a foreign dealer to see what they quote.

Does anyone have a recommendation on a European dealer?
