No it was an amber warning triangle with 'Suspension Fault' displayed on the dash but no other instruction. Mines a facelift post 2009 and my rev counter looks different to yours.

As Steve says the sat nav is pants and if the suspension light has gone out don't worry it may have been the battery getting back to a full charge the car's are very temperamental to battery fluctuations Thumbs Up

My random, annoying, stupid suspension fault always goes off when I have brake sharply from 70mph or whatever, pull over, usually at an inconvenient place before it shakes my spine to dust and turn it off...and then back on! Steve.

Ok, sounds encouraging in a 'it's a quirky RRS kind of thing' way! If the suspension raises to it's full height and lowers to it's minimum, and there are no clonking noises, is it just a case of carry on regardless? It's super quiet on the road.

Yeah I read you changed the key battery but I was on about the car battery as they are well know to five issues such as yours Thumbs Up

Well done, hope you enjoy the RRS experience. If your car has been looked after things should be fine. Next thing is do you have a warranty? If not get one.

As for the suspension, park it on flat land and select the different heights one after the other but give the car time to settle at each height. The car should take about 7 seconds to go to each height, a bit longer doesn’t matter but if it is taking ages then there is something going on. If you do it with the window open, not the door as that inhibits suspension movement, listen for whistling, air escaping. If you can get a mate in the driver’s seat selecting the suspension go round each wheel and mid-sill area listening for air escaping. Another sign of a leak is that it goes to access height after being parked overnight.

If all of this is fine you don’t have a problem, but if it’s slow then the compressor is probably in need of replacement.

Hope not and enjoy your car. Once you have driven one of these it’s very difficult to get out of them and into something else, expect a Range Rover.

Hi Phil, yep checked it all out as you described, and it seems fine. Didn't hear any air leaks at all and it went up and down in a smooth manner. Maybe the battery was a little flat as I'm guessing it has been hanging around a while between owners.

Re a warranty, are there any that are recommended?

Mine is still under Land Rover Approved until next February then I will be looking at Warranty Direct, but I hear that you need to negotiate with them to get the best cover.

Great car there. I'm on my second TDV8 and love them. So far over 100,000 miles total and no great problems - a couple of bearings, one alternator and one EGR valve. I'm warrantied with The Auto Group.
All yours needs is the bigger rear plate & I recommend 45 profile tyres - better look & better ride Smile

Cheers guys. I looked at Warranty Direct, but they want nearly £1200 a year, with a £250 excess. Would rather put that kind of money away in a savings account.
