My name is Michael and I live in North Lincolnshire, I have been on this site in the past when owning a RRS was just a dream, a few years later to this week and I have finally bought one, I'm still in shock to be honest, I have craved to own one of these since they came out.

I am well aware of their issues, I accept them, all I can do is get myself a Landrover warrenty in place and take care of the car as best I can, things will go wrong, and when they do I'll fix them, nothing would get me down about owning one.

Some details:

2009 (59 facelift)
65k miles
3.0L TDV6
Santorini black
22" Overfinch alloys
Genuine Overfinch front grill

I'll be honest, the interior wouldn't be my first choice, but these are hard to find with this mileage, condition and history so it's not really and issue.

The car is pristine, I have found a gem with this one, clearly been pampered all it's life.

Full independent Landrover specialist service history
Both cambelts replaced along with water pump
Bushes and bearings replaced
New battery
Along with a few other bits and bobs, all done by previous owner.

I haven't collected the car yet but expect to within the next couple of weeks

I was in the same boat as you, wanted one since they came out but budget wouldn't fit. In the end I gave up going to the pub every night and spending £10 and used that money instead to buy a really good 2005 4.2 SC.
That was 20 months ago and I'm still loving it as much as day 1.
It is a labour of love and a "relationship" but it sounds like you've done your research and know this so hopefully you won't have too many "arguments" with your new car!! 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue

It's a shame they have their issues, I'll barely do 5k a year in mine so hoping that will help keep the issues down abit longer, certainly won't be putting much wear on it in my ownership

Well thought I'd update this, after still not receiving the car from the garage I have pulled the plug on this Rangie, in fact from buying one at all.

Unfortunately I've heard just too many horror stories on these cars and I'm totally put off, it's a shame but hey ho, they are what they are but I don't want to fall victim to their continuous problem.

No idea what I'll buy, probably stick with my A5.
