Engine System Failure Warning but no codes stored

Good evening, newbie here. I've owned my RRS TDV8 for about 2 months now and had no issues, over the last 2 days I've had the engine system failure warning come on at least 6 times. When I stop and start it goes away. I've used several different meters but the car hasn't logged any fault codes. Any ideas what may be causes the problem and why the car isn't logging the problem?

What code readers have you used?

My best bet is they're not compatible.

Someone will be along to advise what code reader or you could go get them read at a specialist and take it from there.

My TDV8 had EGR problems that started out like this...

You need an LR specific code reader

Generic readers only display emissions related codes

Thumbs Up

Thanks for the feedback guys, I took it to 4 x 4 garage today and diagnostic check was clear. Guess I'll need to sit on it and see if it comes on and stays on.
