my16 deployable sidesteps - how to manually operate?

HI, I should know this as I have the car for a couple of years now, but I am finally fed up of getting a face full of jet wash each time I try open the door to deploy the sidesteps to the guys at the carwash can clean them properly.

Does any one know the sequences to control their manual deployment or have a link to the manual for these.

Also I noticed a weird thing the other day when rinsing the car off myself, as i turned the hose to the front of the side step area, they seemed to deploy themselves, never seen/noticed that before. Magic? Range Rover Sport SVR - Santorini Black

Did you have the key fob in your pocket as you washed the car? I find that often if I walk passed the car parked on my drive with the fob in my pocket it will unlock, then after a few seconds of no door being opened it will relook itself and I was under the impression the deploy-able side steps were linked to the locking 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

There’s a button near your right knee on the lower console. I think you can lock them out by pressing and holding for 5 secs with the ignition on, but not running. You can lock them in using the reverse procedure I think Range Rover Sport HSE DYnamic SDV6 Velocity blue 2020 MY
