2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Driving in Europe

When driving on mainland Europe changing my headlights to point in the oppposite direction was a simple flick of a couple of switches on my E39 BMW. I read the manual on how to do this on the RRS and it appeares that I have to dimantle most of the front end of the car in order to do this.

Has anybody done this. Is it as complex as the manula makes out. Is it possible to do this when you are waiting to get on the ferry, which is usually when I remember to do it.

Plan B is to leave it as is and when some one flashes me give them a dose of full beam.

Indeed, I did this when driving from UK to Cyprus.

It is easier to do than it souns in the book although the thought of removing & disconnecting the headlights filled me with dread being so far from home!

Once removed, just flick the switch on the unit and it is converted!

You may find the wiring loom connector into the headlight itself sticks a bit, as well as the metal clips holding the lights in place but once 'Persuaded' to come out, it is really easy!

2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Depending on what engine you have fitted you can actually 'flick' the leaver without dismantling the front end. I change mine without removing the grille and headlamps by just removing the round access panel from the back of the headlamp units.

Make sure you do this with the keys out of the ignition though, you don't want to be touching any wiring in there that may be live. Especially if you have Xenons. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE.
