Picked up from Lookers West London this evening..with no sign of delivery of my ordered Urus I needed to scratch the itch and get back in to a proper 4x4 again

From order to delivery - 2 months as the guys rushed it through for me (thanks Matt!) but been told if I had to order one now I won’t see it before October - pretty good for residuals too.

Been told today that there are deffo price increases for the MY19 and some options are chargable - e.g to order a full size spare will no longer be the £270 but the cost of one alloy wheel and tyre - did think it was a bargain to get a 22” rim and wheel for the price of a tyre only

No visual changes to the MY19 just a couple of new lower powered engines and the steering cruise control..no big deal for me so the MY18 it was

Was tempted to get a PHeV but did not have the balls to be a test mule for JLR on such new tech for the firm so went with a 3.0D again.

Quite a substantial update from the MY17 and feels good to be back in a RRS after a stint in a Velar first edition

Let’s hope she behaves! 75 miles this evening and only issue was that on opening the boot spoiler rubs the roof and makes a sound!

Yeah seen the few MY19 updates - any reason you didn't wait another month or so - did the supplying dealer do you a good deal?

My mate just got the same car, MY18 SDV6 AB Carpathian etc from another London dealer who aren't yours and the service was amazing, my mind was blown the amount effort they put into the whole process.

Thanks gents - its Corris Grey - used the money I saved on not getting Carpathian (which IMHO looks black when dirty) to get the nicer wheels

Yes I got a good deal but then I have been buying there for some time now so have built up a good rapport with the folks there,

I have just posted all the MY19 updates in the MY19 thread under orders - you'll see why I didn't bother waiting - not worth the price increase IMHO.

No comment on the dealership.

V.nice car though and I do agree on the MY19 updates being very minor lol, same as Velar really.

How big an update is it, how are the seats ? Any other thoughts - compared to my Velar FE which you also had ?

It feels more expensive then a Velar FE..seats are great. Deffo enjoying the higher driving position more too. The Velar was fantasic at the time and better than the RRS IMHO but the sport is now back IMHO

I've got an SDV8 AB on order lol but I think its going to be pushed back to MY19 at this rate now.

Yep I think you’ll prob get an MY19 car now - been told they will start deliveries from end September...apparently still no clarity on emissions regs so until this is sorted they cant start making MY19 cars! Same for all manufacturers!

Why was your experience a bad one with them Dangermouse - care to share?
