I have the Mk 1 Stoploc and it fits both my cars BUT as I leave it on the RRS for many weeks at a time I do find that it can temporarily mark the leather where the clamp goes around the rim of the steering wheel. I also had to return the first one as despite it being the right size on the box for an RRS there was no mention if it is for the L320 or L494 on the box) and change for the next size up as I couldn’t close the clamp around the steering wheel rim. I believe there has been a design change since I bought mine in 2015, but happy that it easily fits both my L494 and my 1996 Defender. I believer that there is an optional at extra cost protector that you can buy too that will protect the steering wheel leather better than my model I have. Mine also has a flashing LED in the stalk part of it. I’ve no idea what battery is in it but I leave mine on the car for 3 months at a time twice a year and since 2015 I haven’t had to replace the battery!

I am not going for the Disklock - looks a pain in the butt to take on and off. |

+1 for a Disklok. I kept my one from years ago I used on a 328i Cabrio and it fits the RRS perfectly and I feel v happy leaving it anywhere with it fitted. I think it is a smaller one. You can get a soft cover for your steering wheel to he,po protect the leather.

+1 for a Disklok. I've been using one since 2000 on all my cars, it really gives peace of mind. Re the comment of it being bulky and clumsy, I say that once you are in a routine of how you feel best putting it on and taking it off, you really don't give it a second thought.
