3.0 TDV6 Fuel Pump & Cam Belt change

Well i attempted both belt changes yesterday using the 2.7 how to guide off the disco forum... unfortunately the subtle differences between the two engines made me want to stop and research more but cant find any specific info..and not having anything to hold the viscous fan pulley Embarassed

I have a couple of questions if anyone can advise....

can the fuel pump belt be changed with the body on, noting the EGR cooler pipe is now located directly behind the belt cover

As the fuel pump is now timed do i need lock the engine with the timing pins as though i were changing the cam belt first..

thanks.

Fuel pump is now timed to the engine. For accurate timing, you need to:

Remove starter and lock crank
Lock NS cam
Lock fuel pump and undo cam hub bolts
Replace belt and tensioner, aligning marks on the belt to those on the pulleys
Torque hub bolts and remove tool
Remove cam/crank tools and rotate engine until belt timing marks re-align

Very time consuming, and rather fiddly, but not a body off. Can comfortably do them in a day Thumbs Up
