I’m sure it will be the V6 3.0 & not the V8 5.0.

The 5.0 V8 is also made by Ford under licence at Bridgend, so that will definitely go too.

We'll given my relentless DPF fault I sold my car a week before its third birthday. Wouldn't dream of owning this a car for a day without a manufacturer's warranty in place. Knowing my luck the crank would have snapped on the day the warranty expired, and given that JLR customer services and I aren't the best of friends at the moment I couldn't imagine any good will if did have issues. Sad. I did the same thing, only with 6 months to go before the warranty expired, which helped the value. Fuel in oil was becoming a major problem. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Rumour has it that JLR are switching from the 5.0V8 Ford produced engine to a 4.4V8 BMW twin turbo engine - maybe in 2020.

Bearing in mind that the latest AMG E Class supercoupe uses an I6, where exactly is the Ingenium I6? MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

You’re right, wilf. JLR badly need some “interesting” petrol engines in between the I4 ingenium and the V8 supercharged. For example, it’s hard to believe that the XJ is now only offered with the V6 diesel for UK/Europe - no petrol option at all. Current: 2020 P400e HSE Dynamic
