A dealership use a bucket and sponge............ more like a hot jet wash and dry it with an old rag as it is way quicker and they have only a couple of hours allowed by JLR to PDI and prep a new car........

Ha, maybe I was being too kind when I suggested they would use a bucket and sponge! Have emailed them twice asking politely to not let anyone loose on it but no response, maybe they've taken offence? Either way it's going to be someone from GVE (talked to a lady their earlier) to get at it before I collect it or me taking it to them just afterwards. Hard to believe in this day and age the people who represent and sell such expensive vehicles don't comprehend the importance of preserving the paintwork. EDIT: Friendly lady at the dealership just confirmed the car will be left unmolested pre-collection |

When my car was delivered, I told them to leave all shipping protection on. My detailer picked it up like this & took it to his unit for Gtechniq ceramic coating, wheels off coating, interior & glass coating. Even the dealership was impressed when he returned it. |
