mmmm I had the same problem in winter with my SC,,turned it off in fuel station went to put it in drive & that flashed up,,i left it a minute then all was good ,,then it did it again on my drive one day but it hasn't done it in for a while,,i will mention it when it goes into LR for its service in june/july.i thought it might have been something to do with the weather as both times it was frosty.

Phoned the dealer he tried to say it's due to a flat battery. Stating it just needs a good run. I told him that's rubbish as I had just driven 400 miles on Monday back to Newcastle and I've not been out of since so no battery issue. I asked if they could look at it today responce was oohhhh no the lads finish at 4.30 but don't worry you have landrover assistance. I can't really we it being software as I only had the update done 8 weeks ago. Ahh well these things are sent to test us. But it best not break down on my journey back to Devon on Saturday SVR Carbon Edition in Estoril Blue MY 21.5

Don’t be too dismissive of the battery diagnosis, random faults as you have are very common when voltages are not right.

It could also be the Battery management system reducing the load on a tired battery by disabling some functions on a cold day but a low/dead cell in a battery could also be the cause 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

If it is the battery, surely the warranty on a 17MY should cover it. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Well a visit from the AA today. They plug in the machine and the system throws up 11 faults in total and 4 of those to do with the gearbox. So back off the car goes to the dealer. Hopefully just needs another soft ware update. Had one done about 8 weeks ago. No sign of my replacement handle either that was ordered 4 weeks ago they seem to have lost it hahaha. If it's not one thing it's another. But for some strange reason I can't help but love the car SVR Carbon Edition in Estoril Blue MY 21.5
