Hi All,

Brought a 2015 4.4SDV8 60K from main dealer with warranty.

Since I have picked it up, it has been back for top and bottom suspension bushes as had a slight knock, when I picked it up today they said that on test driving it they can hear a slight whine, and think it may be rear diff so booked back in for three days for a rear diff ?

I'm glad it is an approved car with warranty, its only three years old, imagine buying it privately and being hit with these bills

Wow your lucky they are admitting there are issues with it normally they will deny all knowledge and say they are supposed to make that noise

It's warranty work so no wonder they're happy to do it. Not surprised that bushes are tired at 60k - seems about right for them, especially if they've been used on potholed roads.

Rear diff is a bit unusual. Having said that, my old 08MY TDV8 had a new rear diff at a similar age. That was under warranty too. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Had my diff changed recently too at 33k so probably not that strange, I think there is a discussion elsewhere here where there is quiet a number of members reporting recent diff changes. MY18 SCV8 Satin flux silver

My 2015 (MY2016) 4.4 had a new rear diff under warranty last summer 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

So what would this cost if not under warranty
