Hi guys

I’ve recently bought an RRS 2006 2.7 HSE where theres a strange vibration sound that seems to come from the nearside toward the rear when idling. This happens for around 20 seconds every 5 mins and starts with what sounds like a release of air pressure. I’m thinking that this could be a suspension prob, however there’s not warning lights and everything appears ok.

The suspension is set to normal but it happens during all settings.

That sounds pretty loud to me. Agree it sounds like a compressor, but assuming the suspension set up is the same or similar on yours to my MY 2012 I can only say I have never heard any noise anything like that from mine, only the occasional noise of air release on parking up and putting into access mode, and it can be a wee bit creaky occasionally from access to normal mode tho that is more likely the rubber bellows than anything else.

I'd get a local indy specialist to take a quick look/listen, or you may get lucky and one of the forum specialists like Disco Mikey et al may see this and have a view.

Yeah exactly what I thought too. I’m taking it to a machanic friend over the next couple of days, although he’s no specialist in these he may have an idea.
