Blade cutting

Why is it so hard to find a shop that will cut a blade for me ? They give me numbers for locksmiths that want to charge me £140 for a complete new key. The say oh we don't cut anybody else's key. Just screwing you for money. It's just the blade for God's sake. New alternator.
Gearbox flush.

there are places on ebay that will cut you a blade for less than £15 from a photo.

I had to file it down a little to fit a cheap chinese key
