Today ive had a final answer from JLR customer services to say they will NOT support my claim. I've had the car inspected by Guy Salmon Stockport who confirmed the servo is full of oil again and that the recall work was required again following the original work in 2010. JLR said no to this request, so I took it up direct with them, stating it was clearly a case of the original work being insufficient. They are stating that as my vehicle is a 2006 model having covered 200k miles, they weren't going to help. At the suggestion of JLR I have logged a complaint with the Motor Ombudsman and I have also emailed the BBC Watchdog programme.

After the tweet and been contacted by Becki from LRUK, i've had confirmation today from LR they have opened an Investigation Case with the Dealer that has my RRS at the moment. Will keep you informed. |

What age and mileage is your vehicle? I had the same response following a phone call and before the Twitter response but sadly I got the "not willing to support" response, hope you fair better pal. |

Mine is a 2006 with 204000 Is the 765 the bill from LR to fix the brake issue and now you're trying to claim it back ? What work did they do, was it servo only? What warranty have they given the work? |

£765 for diagnostics and replacement of brake servo only. Never asked about warranty, was in shock from the price. Will check on that. Until LR finish their case investigation with the Dealer I don’t know what to expect. |

The previous owner of mine had a genuine LR servo fitted by an indie at a cost of 450, so add about 150 for your diagnostic, you've not paid hugely over the top I guess. I'd want to know what warranty the work comes with because without the vacuum pump being replaced, the issue will come back, sadly. |

Thanks for the feedback. We just found out that It seems our chassis number is showing as checked with no problem but we have no record or recollection of this happening. Investigations are ongoing. |
