Diamond Cut Wheels

Got my wheels refurbished the other day. Went for gloss black with a diamond cut face and new centre caps to match. Not forgetting the 4 new tyres....proved costly, but worthwhile!

Had them done by a company in Smallfield/Horley near Gatwick, alloywheeldoctor.com, 01342 459094. I'm sure if you quote "Cameron with the Range Rover" they'll sort you out a cracking deal as got to know them quite well now.

Avoid using any acid or alkaline-based wheel cleaners as eventually they may cause discolouration and corrosion of the finish.

With diamond cut alloys, I would go with a nano sealant if I were you. Something like Ceramishield. Gtechniq wheel armour is also good. Zymol stuff for a cheaper option also. Steve.

Thanks mate, I shall have a look and get some. Might do the whole car now thinking about it when the weather gets a bit warmer.

Take wheels off & apply Gtechniq C5,,just remember to prep them right though, plenty of vids on YouTube.Once applied you just need to give them a quick wash & they will look & stay like new,I did a set 3 years ago & they still only need a quick wash.

Looks a really good job. I used The Wheel Doctor in Smallfield for a refurb to one of my winter set. They did a good job but I’d certainly try these guys when I go to get my current wheels sorted. Robin

That's good news. My current set are in a bad condition. The good news for the Wheel Doctor is that they have a set of wheels you can borrow whilst you leave your current set with them so the car is not off the road. I am tempted but just worried that as I seem to be putting so much damage on my wheels at the moment what with pot holes and the like, I'd just ruin a refurbed set!

Yes, I'm in Uckfield in East Sussex. Its about half an hour for me to Smallfield but I felt after researching a number of local businesses, that these guys in Smallfield are good and this seems to be borne out by your result. Thumbs Up Robin

I've just got a quote from a York company for spare set I bought on Ebay that were worse than described - £85 +vat per wheel - how does that compare Question

From research you can only get them refurbed 1 or 2 times then they have had it - considering powder coating instead as they will be a winter set Confused Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!
