Most of the problems I originally had on my new laptop were because of the Norton that was installed........................ once I managed to uninstall every last bit of it my problems stopped as it was clashing with my AVG Grisoft and the WinPatrol.
I have since installed Grisoft Internet Protection Suite, Spybot Search and Destroy, Privacy Guardian, Registry Mechanic, MS Defender, WinPatrol and Spyware Blaster and have no problems with any of those except that if I shut down the computer instead of putting it to hibernate it takes an age to boot-up while it works it's way through all the checks as I haven't figured out how to disable them from running on start-up, they all normally run in the background. I'm probably doing abit of overkill but it is interesting to see what one program will pick up as an infection that another doesn't 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
