So as some of you may know I put a deposit on the 2018 SVR last march (yes a year ago), as i knew it was coming and thought it may have landed Sept 17.

My build was confirmed in December 17 and completed in Feb 18, then nothing but delays and excuses from dealer, blaming SVO for silence and no news why it wasnt being called over.

To cut a long story short my dealer being Stratstone Stockton absolutely cocked up my order, vehicle was built wrong and they knew this over a month ago, didnt apologise or offer an excuse! I think they were playing dumb and were about to blame SVO until I kicked off and asked a colleague at SVO who confirmed the dealer has completely balls up my order and were putting their head in the sand!

Now bear in Mind ive been using this dealer since the first sport came out in 2005 and over the past couple of years had SVR and vogues off them etc but that didnt make a difference they are absolutely sh*te!

So a word to fellow forum memebers, stay clear of this utter shower of a dealership! As vehicle now rejected, and getting money back! There is a happy ending to this though, which will arrive Monday..... Current

JPR, Sorry to hear this as was looking forward to seeing your SVR. How the hell can a dealer mess up the order after all its all written down for checking? Then i know they have been keeping you waiting which is just pathetic, what a shower that lot are they should not be in business!

So whats is it the AMG?  SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

NO not a thing, SVO were advising the car was there so i thought all good, and I was awaiting pictures of the vehicle, its when they went silent i started to worry so it took me a month to finally get someone to check the vehicle and advise it was built wrong, the dealer just didnt want to tell me! Absolute shambles. Ive wasted so much time and effort on this as well. Current

Yes pal, went for the black as already had the blue, they were fantastic to be honest better than any LR dealer ive dealt with! Current

Hopefully Urban will give better service than LR and their dealers.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Yes to be fair so far Urban's service has been nothing but exceptional, the prep with the vehicle, getting detailed, even arranging delivery in a closed trailer, sending me pics of it getting prepped with daily updates, no more LR stealers for me, they arent salesman in the delaerships they are just order takers and they cant even get that right! Current

Regarding the Carbon i have just got some LR side vents and they say made in China. So much of the Carbon today comes from China. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

I remember we used to sell iPhone accessories and some woman complained that she didnt want to put 'made in china' rubbish on her new iphone. I asked her to look at the back of her iPhone, she never replied  Current

I bought my SVR last year from Rockar and I have to say they were very understanding about the rejection. However, even they were getting the ‘stone wall’ from JLR after the MD emailed his counterpart at Solihull.
So I stepped in and started, firstly with Customer Services…….. That proved completely useless. So I then sent emails to Ralf Speth, Jeremy Hicks and a few others.
Within half an hour I received a phone call from Executive Office saying they were taking over my case. I am not sure if this will be relevant to you as they may say it is between you and dealer. However they can get involved if enough pressure is placed upon them.
The guy running case is Marlon Powell, not a very nice guy but if you stand uo to him he takes the case on.

Now I’m getting worried about my own car which was built December but still waiting !
