Had an issue with a brake warning light the last few days. I knew the front pads were getting low as they’d mentioned it at the service, so a few days ago when the light came on I’d assumed they had to be done.the light kept going off after restart though and seemed a bit intermittent.

I changed the pads myself yesterday and because the light had been on, put a new wear sensor on. Was fine at first but the light has come back on, on the way home tonight. Making me wonder whether it was just a fault before I changed them? Does the light get a signal from anywhere else (there is only one wire on the front).

Have you also checked the rears as the drivers side has a wear sensor. Andy.
